Brainstorming European Alternatives
In preparation for the next Transeuropa meeting, we would like to propose a new way of getting you to put forward and discuss your ideas on future activities you would like to organise with the Network.
Building on the “taskforces” session in Paris which produced many of the transnational projects we are working on now, this will be a space where you can submit ideas and discuss with others across the network how to develop them. It is also a way to engage the wider public to involve them in the network.
At the meeting, we will have a session dedicated to how we can turn these ideas into projects. You’ll then be able to get into groups on the idea you would like to help out with and come up with a plan on how you would take that idea forward together and what support they need.
In the meantime, between now and the 22nd January, submit your ideas for future activities you would like to organise with the Network. Describe your idea and what resources you need to develop it.
Let’s get brainstorming!

This project would look at how students across Europe are experimenting with new forms of democracy (student occupations), reclaiming the purpose of university (such as University of Strategic Optimism) and support student's welfare (Jeudi Noir). It would then bring those groups together to explore how these themes could be developed at a transnational level (i.e. in co-creating new forms of student exchange).

Organise a session on international organisation of the network
We would like to suggest including a discussion about the future development of the network on the agenda for the TN6 in London next week. Although the festival is a priority at the moment, inspired by the proposal, we feel that it is important to start reflecting on this already now.
The objective of the session would be two-fold. Firstly we would continue the discussion that was started in Cluj, with the Proposal as our starting point. Secondly, provided there is interest on the part of the network, we would start shaping a longer term process which would enable existing… more

invite people to write letters to the president of Europe, Herman van Rompuy.
'Hello Herman' is a project in which people can contribute to direct contact with the president of the council.
The writing of a letter is the main activity, and everybody can participate in this action by writing down questions, comments or thoughts to ask or share with Herman van Rompuy.
All the letters will be collected and handed over to the president.

Organise a membership campaign
Membership campaign plan
Members of the Transnational Board have repeatedly agreed on the need for a structured membership campaign to boost membership numbers in view of the Festival.
This document presents a draft plan for a membership campaign.
We ask all TN members to contribute ideas for the final version of the document, to be finalised during the London board meeting.
